Ncuti is cast as the new doctor and is set to take charge of the spaceship TARDIS. His role wasn&#8217;t just critically acclaimed, it was popular among anybody who watched the show. He is the 14th doctor on the show after 13 legendary actors, who played the doctors before him.

Indeed Doctor Who is a popular franchise with a wide fanbase. To get the chance to ba doctor on the show is likely a happy news for the actor. So how does Ncuti feel? &#8220;A mix of deeply honoured, beyond excited and of course a little bit scared,&#8221; replied the 29-year old actor during the <a href="https://www.doctorwho.tv/news-and-features/ncuti-gatwa-is-the-doctor" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DoctorWhoTV interview</a>.  He also expressed his gratitude to be working with the legendary producer/writer/filmmaker Russell Davis.

An actor’s metaphorical playground.&#8221; He also said unlike the doctor who has two hearts, he has one heart and he&#8217;s going to put it into the show because he absolutely loves it.

Ncuti dazzled us, seized hold of the Doctor and owned those TARDIS keys in seconds,&#8220; added Davis.
