When people say Keanu Reeves, they remember the iconic characters he played in many fan-favorite movies. One of them is Constantine where he played the lead, of course, John Constantine. Although the film initially got mixed reviews. But as time went by, it became a fan-favorite film. While there were talks about the film getting a sequel, The Matrix actor opened up about it.
Recently, Reeves appeared in the fourth installment of the John Wick franchise. While promoting the film, in a conversation with Cinema Blend, he was asked a question about the sequel of DC’s one of the favorite characters’ movie, Constantine. He revealed they were trying to make the sequel yet they were not sure.

While acknowledging the fact that he was playing a different Constantine than DC Comics character, the actor revealed the blonde hair would not suit him, really. However, he came back to talking about the film. “Hopefully I get to do it, but I don’t know,” said Reeves to CinemaBlend. So, what does it mean for the sequel?

A few weeks ago, the new DC boss, James Gunn, revealed his plans for DC Studios’ future. But there was no mention of Constantine 2 in his plans. However, there was news about the sequel, and its cancelation as well. However, overcoming the rumors about the sequel, there was a confirmation of the same. Warner Bros. Pictures was developing the sequel of the film as per the reports of September 2022. Fans could have seen the return of both Reeves and Lawrence as well.
But as can be seen above, Reeves has his own doubts about the sequel coming up. Moreover, the film initially did not receive positive responses. However, as time passed by, viewers started to like the film and demanded more of it as well. The film got a huge cult of followers of the film and of the actor as well.
