After ‘Black Adam’ ‘Enola Homes 2’ Post Credit Scene Starring Henry Cavill Is Again Causing a Fan Frenzy
First, there was uproar among the fans when reports started flying in that Henry Cavill was meeting with Marvel. Next, they were delighted to see their favorite Superman make a cameo in Black Adam which confirmed his status in the DCEU.
Now a few months after that brief appearance in The Rock’s film, fans are treated to yet another post-credits scene in Enola Holmes 2.

Henry Cavill gets a visit from Dr. John Watson
Despite Arthur Conan Doyle and Nancy Springer‘s featuring Watson in their works, he was notably missing from the Enola Holmes sequel. Sherlock’s best man was missing until the post-credits rolled. Enola declined Sherlock’s offer to open a joint detective agency. But she promised to visit him later at Baker Street.
Sherlock actor Henry Cavill does get a visit but it’s not Enola, it’s Watson. The creators made the right decision to cast Himesh Patel as the war surgeon that will accompany Sherlock in all his adventures. Since the creators finally introduced Watson, it actually opens up the possibility of a threequel.

The second film is loosely based on The Case of the Left-Handed Lady. And the third book in the series, The Case of the Bizarre Bouquets starts off with Watson being captive in an Asylum. With Watson’s appearance, now this perfectly sets up the plot of the next installment! Moreover, this actually makes Enola Holmes a kind of prequel to the original Sherlock Holmes tales, especially A Study in Scarlet if you ignore the timeline.
Not surprising is that A Study in Scarlet also heavily featured Watson. Another major difference in Enola Holmes from all other Sherlock Holmes adaptations was that Enola read about her brother’s cases in newspapers. But with Watson’s entry, we can see Enola reading about his brother’s exploits in the Strand Magazine in future sequels!
