Henry Cavill’s retreat from or return to DCEU as Superman has resulted in a whirlwind of whisper campaigns, rumors, and endless speculations. The Witcher star’s absence from the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con as the Man of Steel also weakened Superman’s fate in DCEU. Moreover, the endless tittle-tattle about Henry Cavill joining the MCU as Fantastic Four’s Reed Richard, further led the fans to believe that it was the end of Cavill as the son of Krypton. However, as they say, it’s not over until the fat lady sings.

Black Adam starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been the talk of the town for some time now. Warner Bros Pictures has extremely high hopes for the antihero flick starring the former WWE wrestler. they believe it would be the saving grace for the currently dwindling state of the DC Extended Universe. To top it all off, Cavill is supposedly all set to appear in the upcoming feature with The Rock.

Will Henry Cavill appear in Black Adam?

Popular YouTuber Syl Abdul, recently went live on his channel uncovering a particular scene filmed with the muscular Sherlock Holmes. Apparently, Henry Cavill donned his blue and red suit from Man of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and shot a scene as Superman mere days ago in the UK. The speculation about Cavill’s post-credit cameo alongside Amanda Waller played by Viola Davis has been doing the rounds for months.

Waller, Suicide Squad’s fierce, and cutthroat administrator is possibly providing the Man of Steel with insider information and warnings regarding the formidable and powerful Black Adam. This is probably the perfect way to set up exposition and conflict between the two characters. Johnson, himself, has been pretty vocal about his dream to bring alive a Midday of Justice style showdown of Black Adam vs Superman on the silver screen.

A potential James Bond, Cavill has admitted to having one more appearance as Superman left on his contract. Is the Black Adam cameo that last one? Perhaps. But there is also hearsay about a young Last Son of Krypton appearance in the infamous Flash movie.

Does that mean Cavill’s contract has since been updated? Only time will tell since there are no concrete confirmations yet. But, one can always hope to see Henry Cavill in all his Man of Steel glory actually show up in Black Adam which premiers on October 21.
