A Year After the Defamation Case, Netflix Is All Set to Release the Much Highlighted Court Trial of Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard
Out of all the legal battles that stand out for their association with the Hollywood heavyweights, The Johnny Depp V Amber Heard Defamation Case is the most highlighted before the public. Rooted from their deep-seated misalignment for years on end, the fallout resulted in a most-seen televised court trial which was ultimately ruled out in favor of the Depp. The actors have seemingly moved on their separate ways. However, the entertainment industry still remains hooked on the hard-wired back and forth.
The court trial went live around the globe at the time of its occurrence. Nevertheless, the demand for the same remained intact even after months past the trial session. Fulfilling the appetite of the audience, The Channel 4 website first aired the Depp V Heard Documentary in May 2022 for three consecutive days. Rekindling the spark, Netflix has decided to air the docuseries for those still unversed.

The heated court battle that served as one of the greatest media frenzies in 2022 is reportedly arriving on Netflix. It has once again come under media scrutiny after completing a whole year and two months down the calendar. An official report by Whats on Netflix stated that the documentary will hit the screens in three parts, recalling the events that headlined the case. Out of all the episodes, episodes two and three will specifically entail the media’s involvement in the case and how it received the final verdict.
It is also pertinent to note that Depp’s connection with Netflix dates years back as hired his famous winning lawyer after witnessing one of her documentaries on the American streamer. Hence, in a way, Netflix has had a winning hand in Depp’s victory in the case.

As for regions outside the United Kingdom, the three-part docuseries will land on Netflix on the 16th of August, 2023. Without the original branding of the series, it is unclear if the audience in the United Kingdom will actually get a glimpse of the same via Netflix.
There is no need to worry for the British audience. They can still watch the same from the original Channel 4 website that first aired it after the live broadcast. Moreover, all three parts of the series were made available on YouTube four weeks ago. The shocking trial has by far gathered a total of 1.4k views on YouTube. This comes in contrast to the humongous traction it gained during the time of the live broadcast.
