“A couple of stabs…”- Queen of Mayhem Jenna Ortega Unravels the Perfect Chase Sequence Ahead of ‘Scream VI’ Release
Needless to say, Jenna Ortega has established herself as the deadliest gothic teenager after playing the role of Wednesday Addams in the new spinoff. However, it was certainly not the first time she stepped into a world of nightmares. Even this wouldn’t be too much to say that it’s like a second home for her. Taking a permanent seat in the horror genre, she became the Gen-Z Scream queen starring in multiple movies. Fans probably remember when Ortega bluntly expressed her interest in projects that involve bloodshed and a little more mayhem. Likewise, following the fancies of her heart, she is again coming back with the sixth installment of the slasher franchise. And it looks like she might have a tip or two for viewers about how to create a perfect chase sequence.
Jenna Ortega recently appeared on the latest episode of the online series Hot Ones hosted by Sean Evans. Bringing her strong taste buds and unflinching appetite, she sat down to eat the super spicy wings that make most celebrities cry. Chucking down her first baby wing, the 20-year-old replied to her first question as the host asked her about the hallmarks of a good chase scene.

The horror queen described how multiple rooms and handheld cameras play an essential role in creating these scenes. “I feel like it’s a bit more intense for the audience but at least a couple of injuries, a couple of stabs here and there,” stated the You star.
She further explained that her favorite shots include when viewers can see the lead character and the villain at the same time.

If you have watched the fifth installment of the Scream franchise, you might remember the opening scene. In the movie, the viewers saw Tara Carpenter played by Jenna Ortega alone at home in the kitchen. Soon, she started receiving ominous calls and texts from the Ghostface killer. And then he finally broke into the house to kill her, and Tara put up a strong fight to save herself.
Unfortunately, the character was stabbed severely in the whole rustle, but she did survive in the end. And now viewers will meet her again in the upcoming film slated for a release on March 10, 2023. Scream VI stars Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, and Courteney Cox.
