Throwback to When Kanye West Desired to Lead a Black Panther-Esque Government in the United States of America
Kanye West as the President of the United States? It may be a hard pill to swallow. Somewhere in a parallel world, the United States is being run on a Black Panther-esque model. In our world, Kanye could not fulfill that wish, not that he didn’t try to. The artist was married to Kim Kardashian during this phase. Although divorced now, people wondered how the shy guy fit into one of the most famous families in America. As it turns out, the man never needed them to stay in the limelight. He is a unit on his own.
The artist in Kanye has always intrigued people with his style of expressing opinions, be it his wild imaginative lyrics or cryptic videos. Now while his concepts have won him recognition as one of the greatest hip-hoppers of all time, the real world may not be ready to run on his ideas. His father was a member of The Black Panther Party. Eligibility aside, the man has shown his confidence and intention of leading the world to his vision. Ye’s attempt to fulfill his vision filled the media outlets in 2020.

After the 45th President’s term ended in 2020, his staunch supporter Kanye West made up his mind. Yes, he did a campaign to run as the President of the United States of America. His slogan? ‘YES! #2020VISION’. It may sound like a mix of Obama and Trump’s campaign slogans, but we do not know. What we do know is his strategy to run the Government if he had won the election. The Flashing Lights singer wanted to model it after the Black Panther’s political structure. “I’m gonna use the framework of Wakanda right now because it’s the best explanation of what our design group is going to feel like in the White House,” he said in an interview with Forbes.
Black Panther was a 2018 Marvel Comics action movie revolving around political ideas in a fantasy world. While most considered his campaign as a mere publicity stunt and meme content, elections brought out his followers as well. After spending $6 million on the campaign, a surprising 70000 voters across 12 states got onto West’s train of thought.
