Are Cardi B and Offset splitting?

The rumor mill began circulating after Cardi B and Offset unfollowed each other on Instagram very recently. While fans were just trying to wrap their heads around this activity, both artists shared some cryptic posts on their Instagram stories. Cardi B shared being “tired of protecting people’s feelings”, while Offset shared a story declaring that the only person he has trust in is himself. These stories came just months after Cardi B and Offset expressed their love for each other on their fifth anniversary, through Instagram posts. 

On the special occasion, the Migos member had his and Cardi B’s home decorated with massive bouquets of pink flowers and dozens of candles. Then came the appreciation posts from the couple where they shared the things they loved about each other. Given their recent activities, it is tough to say if their relationship is on the right track or if they have hit a rough patch once again. However, there are a few things that are still making things hopeful for the couple. 

This is not the only time that the couple has been on record bashing each other, hinting at their separation. And each time they have done this, it came with a surprising turn of events that brought them back together. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and explore some of these past episodes.

Offset and Cardi B’s relationship timeline

The love story of Cardi B and Offset began with romance rumors in February 2017,  after they released their song ‘Lick’ in January of the same year. The rumors turned out to be true. Offset proposed to the ‘WAP’ artist during Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia. However, little did anyone know that the coupe already secretly tied the knot by that time. In 2018, Cardi B addressed rumors of Offset’s cheating, and shortly after that, they announced they were expecting their first child together.

The second time rumors about their relationship turbulence emerged when Cardi announced that she and Offset had split. However, the couple made up soon after the announcement. In 2020, Cardi B filed her divorce with Offset, which was once again called off a few months before they announced expecting their second child. In June 2023, Offset accused Cardi B of cheating, which turned out to be a joke. That said, this would officially be the 5th time the couple is facing speculations about their split.
