Stranger Things sure is a universal sensation now. Even the people who haven’t watched the series or weren’t planning to watch it know all about it just because it has made a significant place in today’s pop culture. It’s not just the characters of the show who are tied in a close bond of friendship and love. But even we have equally attached ourselves to them. All the actors from Millie Bobby Brown and Sadie Sink, to Eduardo Franco and Joseph Quinn, have had their share of memories.

However, it didn’t happen in a fraction of a second. We and the actors have stayed so long with the show, that we naturally made an unbreakable bond. But did you know it wasn’t always easy for them to shoot all the scenes? For instance, the very first kissing scene of Sadie Sink in Stranger Things season 1 made her so stressed that she almost broke out. She even shared her embarrassment in Beyond Stranger Things. Her statement probably blew up in Duffer Brother’s face.

Apparently, after the massive success of Stranger Things, Netflix, and co. capitalized on the popularity. Along with season 2, they launched another show called Beyond Stranger Things where the cast and the crew talked about everything that went on in the show, on and off the stage. During one such episode, the actress confesses how stressed out she was when she got to know she had to kiss Lucas’ actor Caleb McLaughlin out of nowhere (Remember the snowball of the first season?)

“I get there, the first day of [filming the] Snow Ball…one of you, I think it was you, Ross, you say, “Ooh, Sadie, you ready for the kiss?” I’m like, “What! No! That’s not in the script…that’s not happening.” We know you are upset hearing this. But Ross Duffer’s comment may make it even worse. “You reacted so strongly to this — I was just joking — and you were so freaked out that I was like, ‘Well, I gotta make her do it now.”

Sadie Sink later mentions how “freaked out” she was before filming the kiss sequence. Well, it makes sense given that she had kissed no one before. Even worse, Sink had to share her first kiss in front of her parents, the Stranger Things cast, and more. It made her fans upset that they thrust the circumstance upon her in such a manner, possibly as a prank. It’s also crucial to remember that Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas, was also experiencing his first kiss at the time.

They later cooled down the entire controversy by saying that they were just teasing the 13-year-olds. Sadie Sink too told The Wrap that no matter what, the Brothers have always made it comfortable on the set. Were she not comfortable, they wouldn’t have had that scene. Thankfully, everything was settled down after that and things went on smoothly.
