Stranger Things Season 4 came up with drastically new plot twists and shook the fans from the beginning till the end. Not just the storyline, but the characters have gone through big changes too. One such character is Max Mayfield, played by Sadie Sink.
Sadie’s character was introduced in Season 2 of the show and has evolved a lot since then. After an awful encounter with Vecna, Max is still in a coma. Moreover, season 4 ends on a cliffhanger where Eleven tries to find Max but can’t.
Sadie recently spoke with Deadline and shared her thoughts on the show and her character. Read more to find out what she has to say!
Sadie Sink is unaware of Max’s future
Sadie does not have a clue what will happen in Season 5 or how it will appear. Given, that Max is in a coma and Eleven can’t find her in the void, her plot is highly ambiguous. Nobody knows Max’s location, and hence, her condition is critical.
Although she confirmed in the interview that Season 5 is going to be the season finale of the show. She also told Deadline that the Duffer Brothers never treated anybody differently.
“What all the kids have loved about the Duffers is that they never once treated us any differently than they would an adult cast member. Like, they respected and valued our opinions and created a really fun environment.”, Sadie said.
Sadie is eager to find out about Season 5
Sadie told Deadline that The Duffer Brothers have been very secretive about the plot of Season 5 of the show. Since her character is in a coma, there’s a fifty percent chance that she could survive. According to her, the Duffer brothers have been very calculative about whom to kill.
When asked whether Duffer Brothers have mentioned something her something about season 5 she said, “We did have a conversation. They called me before I read the ninth episode because in the script it literally says that Max dies. So they called me beforehand and were like, ‘just warning you, this is in there, so you’re not like truly shocked.’ I have no idea what’s coming in five and what that looks like. Max’s storyline is very up in the air.”
We can only hope to see Max back in action. Have you watched Volume 2? Let us know what you think will happen with her character.
