However, in 2020, the 40-year-old once shared what his thoughts were about being a director and producer with Sir Patrick Stewart on Variety’s Actors on Actors conversation.

As the star from the X-Men franchise shared his knowledge of producing, he inquired of Cavill if he had any experience directing or producing something. The Witcher star admitted he had not produced nor did he direct. However, he added, “Producing is something that I have my eye on and I’ve started to get an itch for directing.” The British young actor expressed his willingness to direct in the future as well.

If actors want to become a director or producer, they need to expand their knowledge of work and the industry. Since Cavill himself admitted he was aiming at producing, he made it come true. After getting axed from his iconic role of Superman, and ending his journey as Geralt of Rivia, Cavill partnered with Amazon Studios.

Apparently, the British actor is going to star in and produce the live-action adaptation of his favorite video game.
