“She wanted to…” – Back When Arnold Schwarzenegger Said He Ruined His Honeymoon by Taking Maria Shriver to Sets of This Movie
Arnold Schwarzenegger once admitted to ruining his honeymoon by doing this one thing. They say work and personal life should never be mixed. But with the busy lives of Hollywood celebrities or those in the entertainment industry, they are required to go wherever the work takes them. That means having to be away from their families for long periods. While some choose to take their family with them, others bear the pain of distance.
Now, Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for his action scenes. From running through the forest with a knife to destroying a robot to save mankind, shooting these storylines would take him into the deepest and wildest places, unlike the lavish adventures of James Bond. But how exactly did that lead to ruining his honeymoon with Maria Shriver?

Even the best of luxuries cannot be prevented by the bounty of nature, and that is what happened with The Terminator actor and his bride during their honeymoon in 1986. During a 2015 interview, Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed to Yahoo Movies about the hilariously unfortunate event that occurred with his wife during the shoots of his 1987 movie Predator. When he took Maria Shriver along to the shooting location in Mexico, they went into the room one fine day. He said, “She wanted to take a shower.” But upon checking the bathtub, she realized that a bunch of frogs had occupied it.
The sight of them jumping out left the Kennedy family member scared and scarred. That, according to Schwarzenegger, was the end of their honeymoon. Apparently, the movie was being shot in a forest, and they had to adjust to whatever stay arrangement was available at the point.
Regardless, the couple continued to stay married, having four children, before finalizing the divorce in 2021.

The 1987 hit saw a newly married Schwarzenegger in the role of Major Alan ‘Dutch’. He was laden with the responsibility of rescuing a cabinet minister from another country who was kidnapped by insurgents in the South American region.
The stealthy cat-and-mouse chase of him and the enemy leads him to survive and explore through the deep jungles, which explains the shooting location. The 75-year-old will next be seen on Netflix’s comedy action series Fubar.
