The case of Meghan Markle and her withering relationship with her father could not have surfaced in the public eye at a time worst back when she first stepped into the Palace. Markle, ever since her proximity to Prince Harry and the royal family became known, was hounded by the tabloids. And Thomas Markle, who has caused irreparable damage to the royal family and the Duchess of Sussex’s image, provided ripe content to the press to further trouble his daughter. However, he maintains to date that he never intended to inflict on her any harm and just wanted to talk.

Following suit in Meghan Markle’s footsteps, Thomas Markle has also given a bombshell interview. And this time around, it might make the Duchess finally speak to him.

Thomas Markle is ready to shun Meghan Markle

The Suits actress and her father made for one of the most troubled father-daughter duos in the public eye. This, when paired with the fact that she is the daughter-in-law of the most respectable family in Britain, further added spice. Markle, every time that she has spoken of her father, has only done so in order to cement the fact that she does not have anything to do with him. And while Thomas Markle has always done the contrary, in his recent interview with 7News Spotlight he said “I refused to be buried by her,” and thus closed the door he himself knocked on for years.

The statement coming from Thomas Markle, who suffered from a stroke last year and now walks with the help of a cane, hits the nail in the coffin. The father of the Duchess of Sussex recalled how she repeatedly talked about “losing” her dad.

Her refusal to speak to him despite his deteriorating health has driven him to the decision he said, in what he declared his “final” interview. And perhaps this will be the first time in a while that his daughter might be happy with him.

From Thomas Markle being absent at the royal wedding to his declaring that Meghan Markle be absent at his funeral, a lot has unfolded. It seems like eons since Markle was claiming that was met with dead rings when she continuously called her father, who was reported to be hospitalized. But according to him, when he was actually hospitalized, she was a no-show.

It is to be noted, however, that Thomas Markle had shaken hands with Piers Morgan and countless others, who have made their dislike for Meghan Markle clearer than the day. While devoiding her of his last rituals might seem shocking, what could have been worst is if the Duchess of Sussex would not have showed up to his last rituals voluntarily. And given the pair’s history, it is very well possible.
