Henry Cavill time and again reminds us to not judge a book by its cover by simply existing. The man who appears to be all sharp edges is actually just a huge softie on the inside. It is a mystery how Cavill, who is known for tough roles, is the complete opposite of his reel-life personality. The actor solved the mystery in 2021 when he appeared with his dog on UK TV and expressed his gratitude to him.

2021 was also the same year that Cavill announced he was dating Natalie Viscuso through a heartwarming Instagram post where he called her “beautiful, brilliant, and love,” all in the same sentence. Among other things, Cavill and his now girlfriend of more than two years were united by their love for dogs. However, an unfortunate update on her Instagram profile indicates that Cavill’s girlfriend has lost her beloved pet of many years: Meat.

Meat was a regular on not only Viscuso’s but also Henry Cavill’s feed. And understandably so. The French Bulldog with its big brown eyes was an absolute joy to look at. And looking at his pictures, it seems like he was quite a poser. However, their dog belonged to the brachycephalic breed, making it difficult for him to breathe on airplanes.

Henry Cavill and his girlfriend are traveling back and forth from Europe to America due to work. Owing to this, both Cavill’s dog, Kal and declared “guardian of soul,” and Viscuso’s dog Meat had to travel with their parents. The two were spotted visiting the vet earlier in Turkey but sadly Meat’s condition could not be helped.

The 32-year-old business executive shared with her 134k and growing followers a picture of her cuddling her beloved pet in a black and white frame. “Love you forever. Rest in peace, sweet boy.” she wrote in the caption. And among the thousands of fans who poured in to show support and relay their condolences was Henry Cavill, who posted a broken heart emoji.

Those who are regulars to Viscuso’s page must understand how hard the separation is for her, as Meat was often spotted in most of her posts. Hopefully, Cavill’s poodle of joy, Kal, can give his girlfriend the same love he gives the Man of Steel actor.
