Fans Left Surprised with Ana de Armas as the ‘Blonde’ Actress Turns Rapper on Her ‘SNL’ Debut
Ana de Armas just showed her entire spectrum of acting skills on SNL. The 34-year-old has been the center of attraction in Hollywood ever since she gave an effortlessly perfect performance in Blonde. The Spanish native proved her ability to channel Marilyn Monroe, giving a performance to remind the world of Monroe’s greatness while flaunting her own abilities. Considering that she has established herself successfully, the next step just had to be making her appearance on SNL.
For years, the show has had the best of celebrities perform in roles one would not expect. The format consists of several brief skits with the guest donning different outfits. One of the sketches was shared by SNL’s Twitter handle wherein Armas played a singer. She was joined by Kenan Thompson and Egobunma Nwodim for that clip. De Armas and Nwodim hilarious sang lyrics, recording a ‘spicy’ song which they altered on Thompson the ‘producer’s instructions.

In her opening monologue, the Cuban-Spanish actress tried to be relatable as she joked about how the sitcom Friends helped her learn English. She confessed about being proud of coming all the way into the entertainment industry. The actress was thankful to be able to end up on SNL.
Fans of the actress are already thrilled to see her performance. They were quite satisfied with her hilarious side.
Twitterati reacts to Ana de Armas performing for SNL
SNL is where we get to see the funniest sides of the most serious-playing actors in the industry. The character break, dialogues, and bizarre plots only add to the fun. What caught the most attention was perhaps the Gray Man actress’ delivery as she said, “s-s-s-s-spicy”. In the sketch, they are recording a rap song with a fellow singer in one skit.
Fans were surprised to see her pull off the roles so comfortably, as even the show regulars tend to long at the prompter or break character.
The sketch has certainly left fans wanting more. One even suggested that the actress and the Nigerian-American comedian should make a rap song of their own.

While the greatest compliment comes from one of Armas’ fans, who claimed that her presence made him watch an episode of SNL for the first time in more than 20 years of the show.
