The students at Moordale Secondary School are in their final year. Fans of Sex Education and its students simply cannot keep calm. Netflix released the trailer of its fourth and final season of the iconic show last week, leaving us thrilled with bittersweet anticipation. Among those graduating will be Otis’ best friend, Eric Effiong. Meanwhile, the Rwandan sensation, Ncuti Gatwa, who plays Eric on the show, appears to have graduated to another season of a different, critically acclaimed show.  

Gatwa became the first black and fourth Scottish actor to play the legendary time lord, Doctor Who in 2022. His portrayal of the Fifteenth Doctor will be hitting our screens on Disney+ in November this year. The Sex Education star has now come out with another exciting announcement, and we are all for it!

Ncuti Gatwa spills some beans about him in Doctor Who

The 30-year-old actor seems to be as much in love with Doctor Who as any other die-hard Whovian. Gatwa tells Rolling Stone, “When you watch it, you forget all your troubles. You go to space, or to another time. You have adventures.” Much to our delight, he also revealed that he will take control of TARDIS for the next seasons of the show as well! This slyly indicates that the show will have a 15th season ahead of the 14th one. 

The reveal also hints that fans should not expect a regeneration at the end of the 14th season, adding to the excitement of the fans about the show’s future. The trailer for the 14th season also marks the first time a regeneration has appeared as the same Doctor Who from a past season, played by David Tennant. The Harry Potter actor was earlier seen as the Tenth and this time around, Fourteenth Doctor. He is joined by Gatwa, who is looking dapper as always, in a formal fit. 

The actor’s knockout looks, coupled with his charismatic demeanor, are known to make heads turn wherever he goes. He was recently spotted doing just this, at the premiere for his latest project along with Maeve on the red carpet as well.

Gatwa and co-star Emma Mackey will be seen together on-screen in Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Barbie, alongside the gorgeous Margot Robbie. Gatwa, who plays one of the many versions of Ken, donned a white cape top with sparkling silver hot pants on the premier’s red carpet. Styled head-to-toe in custom Valentino, Ncuti posted pictures from the star-studded event to his Instagram. The post featured Emma Mackey, who plays Physicist Barbie in a silky silver dress, and much to our pleasant surprise, a smiling Will Farell as well!

The caption to the post had Gatwa rejoicing in his work, saying “This film is so flipping good.” This review has fans just as excited to watch Barbie, as they are for Sex Education’s upcoming season whose teaser released last week.
