The biggest name in the music industry among male pop stars is probably Ed Sheeran. He has given fans hits after hits over the years. Not only has he penned down songs for his own album, but has also written songs as a hobby for big artists like Justin Bieber and BTS. His last tour broke records as he played at completely sold-out shows around the world. Even if you are not a fan of the 32-year-old, it is hard to miss his songs when they are getting played everywhere from retail stores to weddings. The man is getting ready for a new album Subtract (-), but before that, he sat for a quick chat to reveal his geeky side.

The 21st century’s biggest pop sensation is a nerd at heart. He loves Pokémon, Lord of The Rings, Warhammer, and Lego. The Photograph crooner shared his cute Pikachu story with Rolling Stone. As a child, he used to envision the animated creature as his friend. And now creators approach him to create a track for the cartoon. “I am a nerd. And yeah, I’m not meant to be considered cool,” Sheeran confessed during his cover interview with Rolling Stone.

The two had bonded when he wrote a song for Jackson’s The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Their friendship goes deep as the musician caught a screening of North by Northwest at Jackson’s home. Apparently, James Cameron was also present there.
