Why did they leave Mike Barnes out of the Cobra Kai season 5 trailer?
The trailer shows Danial LaRusso trying to bring back Johnny after he decided to leave Karate for good. Glimpses of Terry Silver attempting to conquer the valley in his 80s villain style are also breathtaking. It also teases Miguel and Robby’s never-like-before interaction while Kreese seems to enjoy his jail brawler life. Bringing our childhood dream to reality, we also see Johnny and Chozen teaming up to fight not against Daniel but with him. While they have hyped all of this already in the teaser, they might want to keep some of our gasps reserved exclusively for the season 5 debut. Hence, no trace of Daniel’s greatest competition.

Ahead of the season 5 release, fans also speculate that Barnes might be playing a significant role, and even a single snapshot could ruin the whole story. If anything, it sure is a genius move on Netflix’s part. For three whole weeks, fans will be wondering where Barnes fits, and when September 9 finally brings in the whole of what has already been teased, it will be a feast for the eyes of Karate Kid geeks. Here are some fascinating fan speculations:
