2022 has been an exceptional year for Murder Mystery Fans. From Brazen and Death on the Nile to The Gray Man and Orphan: First kill, the list of new releases goes on. Apart from these, The Invitation and See How They Run will also make their way to our screens by the end of the year.

Also, Netflix and Canadian Producer Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps are back in business. The streamer and the production company will team up once again to produce The Perfect Couple as part of their overall deal. The Jackal group, who also produced Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, will also be a part of the production team. Previously, 21 Laps have also produced the Mega hit sci-fi series Stranger Things and Shadow and Bone. 

So after producing a science fiction drama, Netflix and 21 Laps want to create something intriguing that will give the audience a chilling experience.

Perfect couple: Here’s what we know so far

Based on a novel by Elin Hilderbrand, The Perfect Couple is going to be a limited series with six episodes altogether. The murder mystery was reportedly New York Times best-selling novel. Good Girls co-producer Jenna Lamia will act as the showrunner and executive producer of the series.

The murder mystery series will follow Celeste Otis’s wedding with a man who is from the richest family in Nantucket. The fourth of July weekend takes a turn for the worse when a body is discovered a few hours before the big wedding. Undoubtedly, now everyone at the wedding is a suspect. True crime and romance fans can rejoice in this murder mystery series.

As of now, Netflix has only confirmed the show. The filming and production are yet to start. Sadly, there is no news about the release date, as well. The cast is also yet to be revealed. Guess there is time till we get all the information. Moreover, Hilderbrand’s novel 28 summers also has a movie adaptation in the works.
