BAFTA TV Awards 2022: Your Guide to All the Netflix Shows That Received Nominations
Netflix has become a production powerhouse bagging several accolades over the years. And this year at the BAFTA TV Awards, the streaming giant has yet again managed to earn several nominations. The British teen comedy, Sex Education seems to lead the pack with 5 nominations to its name, followed by The Witcher with 3 nominations.

The raunchy British teen comedy Sex Education which combines humor with sensitive topics like gender identity, teenage pregnancy got a nod at the 2022 BAFTAs. Aimee Lou Wood and Ncuti Gatwa both are nominated for Female Performance In A Comedy Programme and Male Performance In A Comedy Programme, respectively. Moreover, it is nominated across three categories – Scripted Casting, Photography & Lighting: Fiction, and Emerging Talent: Fiction at the BAFTA TV Craft Awards. It is likely that the show will come home with a BAFTA with this many nominations!
BAFTA TV Craft Awards nominates The Witcher in two categories
Henry Cavill starrer The Witcher is not too far behind Sex Education. The violent fantasy medieval series received a nomination in Sound: Fiction for the immaculate score. The British Academy also appreciated the visual effects used in the series and nominated it for the Special, Visual And & Graphic Effects category. For a series that is based on a game, hair and makeup need to match the game characters to make it more authentic. The Witcher does it exceedingly well and hence has earned yet another nomination in Make Up & Hair Design.
Will Squid Game win a BAFTA after a SAG award?
The Korean survival series had a historic win at the SAG Awards. Next, it may sweep the BAFTAs in the International and the Virgin Media Must-See Moment category. Fans voted for the nail-biting red light, the green light game as a must-see moment in Squid Game.

The BAFTA TV Awards ceremony will take place on May 28. Prior to this event, the BAFTA TV Craft Awards is will air on April 24. Although the organizers were forced to hold this event virtually last year, this year the event returns to its in-person format.
