Alice in Borderland Season 2 Wraps Filming With Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya and the rest of the Cast Teasing More Dangerous Survival Games – Check Expected Release Date, Synopsis, and More
Arriving late in 2020, the Japanese survival show, Alice in Borderland has been away from our TV screens for a long time. Based on the manga of the same name, the survival show hit the Netflix top 10 in 40 countries upon its debut. After a long wait, the streamer finally announced that Alice in Borderland season 2 will drop on the streamer in December.

Contestants are handpicked to compete in a deadly game of survival without their consent or knowledge in a desolate Tokyo. The games are tricky and the contestants betray and even kill each other to survive. The premise is very similar to another Netflix big hitter, Squid Game. But the difference is contestants voluntarily participate in the Squid Game.
Cast react to Alice in Borderland season 2
Ahead of the series premiere, the cast reacted to the filming of Alice in Borderland season 2. Kento Yamazaki who plays the lead Arisu expresses, “The world of the show is bigger than ever.” Aguni actor Sho Aoyagi appears with scars and cuts on his face and he further adds, “The first season was great, but the second season takes it further.”
The filming was stressful and hectic, but Tao Tsuchiya experienced the thrill and the danger like her character Usagi. She elaborated, “Each shot has big set pieces, like explosions.”
Both the cast and fans knew that the show was big. Mira actress Riisa Naka realized the global popularity of the show after she received texts from people congratulating and complimenting her.
“As an actor, my horizons have expanded even more.”

Hitting Netflix’s top 10 is no easy feat, and Kuina actress Aya Asahina was already expecting a second season.

The upcoming season will put a focus on the 10 contestants that survived the bloody games in the first season. Arisu and Usagi are likely to come across Mira Kano in their search for the final cards. In a surprising development, Mira was revealed to be the Queen of Hearts in the last season’s finale. There’s no official date yet, but the series will launch its second season in December.
