From what the book offers, Gosling is to play Ryland Grace- the sole survivor of a last-chance mission. Seemingly, if he fails to do his job, the entire human race and the planet itself will perish. However, he has lost his memory and knows that he was asleep for a long time. With an extinction threat lingering on the smartest species on the planet, whether he is able to save earth and Earthians or not is the question. The book has received excellent critical acclamation and Gosling’s take on it will certainly be a sight to behold.
