For quite some time, we have listened to some rumors that Netflix has adapted the 2018 sci-fi novel The Disasters into a television series. Is it true? The book is written by M.K. England, who is known for his work in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. He even plans to release his recent novel, which is inspired by the popular series, Firefly, this summer.

The novel, The Disasters, has a rating of 3.7 out of 5 on Goodreads and explains the novel as a mixture of The Breakfast Club and Guardians of the Galaxy. Even Barnes and Nobel have rated the book as 4 out of 5, and Kirkus has reviewed the novel as, “an action-packed, entertaining blend of space hijinks, humor, and romance.”

The novel is set in the year 2194, where space colonization is not a matter of joke, just a normal thing to have. The colony officers of a space train at the Ellis Station Academy on the moon. Nax Hall is a wannabe pilot who has known for making poor life choices. Unfortunately, when he was kicked out of the training station, it was not a surprise for many of his colleagues. While returning to Earth, Nax witnesses that terrorist group attacking the training center. By taking the responsibility of a sole witness, Nax executes a heist to spread the truth all over the world. This novel is a fine mixture of chaos, drama, relationships, emotions, and also an adventure.

There was news that the series is developing under CW. However, there have been rumors that the series will be up on Netflix? Let’s find out.

The sci-fi adventure drama has been already up for development for quite some time, but on The CW. Initially, it announced that they will release the show in 2022. But, after that, there is no news about the development or release date.

The CW has already taken the show from Berlanti Productions in 2020. So, if The CW is now moving the development to Netflix, it will be a major step. But there is no confirmation from any of the streamers. Even before this sci-fi novel, The Girl on the Bus has moved from Netflix to The CW, in 2021.
