The reason why the Academy Winning actor did not use swear words was because his grandmother, after finding his first rap book, wrote him a letter and gave him life-altering advice.

Will shared the beautiful message of the letter on the show. It said, “Dear Willard, truly intelligent people do not have to use words like these to express themselves. Please show the world that you are as smart as we think you are.”
