Netflix’s Julie and Phantoms is a musical comedy-drama that gained popularity within no time. On September 10th, 2020 the streaming platform released the first season. The cast includes Madison Reyes, Charlie Gillespie, Owen Patrick Joyner, Jeremy Shada, and Jadah Marie. It is an adaption of Brazilian television series Julie e os Fantasmas. After binge-watching the series, the fans are curious if there will be a second season for the same. Season 1 of the show received a lot of positive critical reviews, so fans of Julie and Phantoms were very confident that there will be a season 2. Even the series has featured in the top 10s in countries such as the United States, the Netherlands, Australia, and Canada. Unfortunately, on December 18th, Kenny Ortega officially announced that the sequel season will be not returning for Season 2. The executive producer and the director of the show, shared the news on his Instagram account.
