Outlander-story so far

The show is based on a series of novels by Diana Gabaldon. Outlander follows Claire (Caitriona Balfe), a World War II nurse, as she awaits the return of her husband, Frank, from duty in 1945. Claire is carried 200 years into the past by a mysterious circle of Scottish Stones, so their reunion is short.

Claire meets and falls in love with Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) when she arrived in 1743, and she chooses to stay in the past with him. When the battle of Culloden approaches and conflict looms. Claire travels back in time to protect Jamie and Claire’s daughter, Brianna. Claire then leaves a mature Brianna (Sophie Skelton) to return to Jamie after decades in her own time. Followed by Brianna (Bree) and Bree’s boyfriend, Roger, also time-travelers, back to the 18th century.

Season 4 of Outlander sees the quartet travel to America and build Fraser’s Ridge, a homestead in North Carolina. However, not everyone embraced them, and in Season 5 of Outlander, the Fraser clan found itself in conflict with other newcomers in the region. Claire is kidnapped in the season finale and discovers another time traveler among her captors before being freed by Jamie.

Is Outlander season 6 on Netflix?

The show is currently streaming exclusively on Starz. The first episode was released on March 6th, with subsequential episodes released weekly. However, bad news for Outlander fans. Season six will be the show’s shortest season to date, with just eight episodes due to the pandemic.
