The last time we saw the magic of Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele together was in their feature film, Keanu, in 2016. They even launched the last season of their popular comedy show Key and Peele, in the same year. After that, the duo has been working in their respective field separately. Fans were hoping they would reunite soon because they have the best combination anyone could want in a film. And Netflix has heard their prayers, as Key and Peele together will star in the new animated feature film Wendell and Wild.

Wendell and Wild is an upcoming stop-motion animated dark fantasy comedy horror film by Henry Selick, and it will be scripted by Selick, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, and Clay McLeod Chapman. After 13-years since Caroline, the stop-motion animation movies marks Henry Selick’s return. The film will explore the journey of two scheming brothers, Wendell and Wild, who have to face the demon-dusting nun Sister Helly, Kat and Raoul, and her two acolytes.

Wendell and Wild release date

Fans of Key and Peele will obviously know that they announced the film in 2015 and the project has been in the work for years now.

After the project started its filming and production, Netflix got the rights to distribute the film and release it sometime in 2021. However, since production of Wendell and Wild was not completed successfully, the streaming giant had pushed the release date to “2022 or later”.

And now, Netflix has given us a glimpse of the movie in its recent film trailer for upcoming releases.

Who is in the cast?

At present, we don’t know who all will be part of the project. We only know that Keegan-Michael Key will play the role of Wendell and Jordan Peele will play the role of Wild.

Looks like we will need to await further information from Netflix.
