Thanks to a Masseur, Andrew Garfield Beats Leonardo DiCaprio to Claim Golden Globe Best Actor for Tick, Tick… BOOM!

After a pretty incredible 2021, where he worked tirelessly on various projects, it is now time to reap the juicy fruits for the same. Andrew Garfield bagged the Golden Globe award of Best Actor, and we believe it is just the beginning of it and all this happened because of a masseur.

Garfield appeared in many amazing projects, and he has given a splendid performance in each of them. Be it a supporting role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye or his return as Spider-Man in Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. But his performance as Jonathan Larson in Netflix‘s Tick, Tick… BOOM! was truly out of the world.

Honestly, fans believe that Andrew will be nominated for an Oscar this year, but for now, they are celebrating what this young man has accomplished today.

A Masseur helped Andrew win his Golden Globe Best Actor Award?

As funny as it sounds, it will baffle you that a masseur actually helped Garfield land the role of Jonathan Larson. Director Lin-Manuel Miranda and Andrew Garfield have a pretty peculiar connection, which is a mutual masseur. And it was he who suggested that Lin should cast Andrew for the role of the legendary singer Jonathan Larson.

Every single person who came out after watching the Netflix Original has only one thing to say; Andrew Garfield deserves an Oscar for his work as the Legendary Broadway artist, Jonathan Larson. While we wait for that to happen, Garfield has already taken some gold home from the Golden Globe awards. Even though there is no show for 2022, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced this year’s winners on their Twitter account.

Andrew Garfield won the Golden Globe Award for the Best Actor in the Musical or Comedy category. He indeed dropped the performance of a lifetime and even learned to sing for this movie, once again showing how dedicated he is towards his work.

Even though his performance in Tick, Tick… BOOM! will win him numerous awards, it is not his only notable work from last year. How can we forget his iconic return to the Spider-Man universe? He, along with Tobey Maguire, once again donned the red and blue suit of the superhero, and yet again stole a million hearts. Fans have been hopeful about his future in the MCU, and are actually demanding for him to have another movie to complete his own Spider-Man trilogy.

We are just so happy to see Andrew getting the recognition he deserves and also hoping to see more of him!
