On-screen rivals off-screen friends

Everyone who has seen the show knows that JoAnna Garcia Swisher (Maddie Townsend), Brooke Elliott (Dana Sue Sullivan), and Heather Headley (Helen Decatur) do not get along well with Jamie Lynn Spears’ Noreen Fitzgibbons as Noreen was the reason why Maddie’s husband left her. However, their real-life relationship with each other is nothing but hugs and kisses.

While in an interview with Us Magazine, JoAnna had the following to say about her rival co-star Jamie Lynn “She is a dear friend and a wonderful mother.” Even though Heather Headly doesn’t have many scenes with Spear, it hasn’t been a problem for the two to have a great friendship off-screen. Both instantly bonded over going through similar stages of motherhood.

Heather said, “Jamie Lynn and I have not had many scenes together because, you know, Helen is not too fond of her. She’s getting there,” the Broadway veteran told Us. “But Jamie Lynn has always been so sweet. She’s so professional and kind and soft-spoken and just a sweet, very kind heart trying her best to be a good mommy and a good wife.”
