For two long years, we didn’t get a word about what was going on with the gang at Hawkins. Yes, it has been that long since Stranger Things season 3 aired. Now that we are finally getting some teasers and plenty of photos before the premiere of the show, fans are coming up with theories. And these theories have come to producer Shawn Levy and the Duffer Brothers’ notice! Shawn recently put out a tweet praising the fans for their accurate Stranger Things season 4 theories!

Even Ross Duffer expressed, “I’m constantly impressed with how sharp the fans are and how quickly they’re able to put something together with very, very little information,” in a Netflix podcast. 

The most accurate fan theories for Stranger Things season 4

The story will take place six months after the events of season 3. After an intense battle with the Mind Flayer at the Starcourt Mall, Eleven moved to California with the Byers. But the recent teasers hint that the Byers haven’t gone west after all. After the reveal that Hopper was alive. Fans have figured out that he’s the American prisoner in Russia. In one photo, Joyce is seen along with Murray in snow-covered terrain. It looks like the duo traveled to Russia to rescue Hopper. For the better part of the series, the characters will try to get Hopper out of the Russian prison and Eleven will try to get back her powers. The visitors’ tags on Robin and Nancy hint that they’ll try to enter the lab or the Russian facility. 

Stranger Things season 4 will take place in four different locations- California, Hawkins, lab, and the Creel House. Creel House is featured in another teaser. 

The retro series will end after season 5

The mystery adventure series will conclude after its fifth run. Season 4 will arrive in two parts. The first batch of episodes will drop on Netflix on March 27th and the second installment of episodes will drop on July 1.
