Ragnarok season 3 release date, cast, synopsis and trailer
Has Netflix announced the Ragnarok season 3 release date yet? Will the Norwegian Netflix Original return for the third season?
Ragnarok season 2 made its debut on May 27th, 2021. Magne and his quest against the giants continued with another six episodes. As the reincarnation of Thor, the young man managed the forge the powerful hammer Mjolnir. After getting back his godlike strength, he went to the Jutul house and attacked Fjor and Ran. Season 2 ended with the final episode “All You Need Is Love” and gave us goosebumps.
Even though Ragnarok season 2 has premiered a couple of days ago, the fans are already waiting for season 3. The popular streaming platform has not made any announcements about a renewal or a release date yet. Fans of the show should not worry though, because this time gap between a premier and a confirmation is only natural and takes a few months.

If Netflix decides to order a new season, we might hear the announcement for the renewal in a couple of weeks. And considering that the streaming giant started the production of the new season, it might take at least 16-17 months.
This maths is based on the previous gap between the first and the second season. We should also take the pandemic-related restrictions into the account. So, the earliest Ragnarok season 3 release date might be Summer 2022.
Considering the success of Ragnarok as a non-English Netflix Original, the streaming service will probably order another season. That being said, Netflix waits for some time to analyze the viewing stats along with the season’s performance before renewing a series.
So we might have to wait for some time to hear about a renewal for Ragnarok, as we said earlier.
We do not know whether we are going to see new faces in the town of Edda, but the names below will surely return in the third season. Here’s Ragnarok cast:

Ragnarok season 3 trailer has not hit the official YouTube channel of Netflix yet. This is also natural as the streaming platform has not made an announcement for the show’s current status. We will probably wait for at least a year and a half before seeing the new season. This point is also valid for Ragnarok season 3 trailer.

Assuming that the production starts in 2022, the earliest possible date for a trailer is probably May or June 2022.
Ragnarok has two seasons and a total of 12 episodes on Netflix right now. You can have a look at the other Norwegian TV shows on Netflix. Norsemen, for example, invites you to the daily routine of a group of vikings. Although it is a comedy series, it might be nice to watch someting lighter and more casual after witnessing the mighty battle between Magne and Jutul family.
