Operation Mincemeat Provide the Same Hype as Seeing Three Spiderman Together for Two Reasons
The whole world exploded when finally, the golden trio of Andrew, Toby, and Tom was complete. All the comic book lovers had dreamed of watching the three Spidermen in a film together. And similarly, there are dozen other crossovers that are just waiting to happen. MCU gave us a famous British crossover with two Sherlocks. And now Netflix is enticing the novel lovers yet again with Operation Mincemeat.
Operation Mincemeat has an incredible cast and an amazing director. But what has made fans excited the most about the espionage thriller is the coming together of the two most beloved Jane Austen characters in a film.

Netflix never cheap out on casting the best actors in their projects. They always make sure to get the best of the best, and in their newest spy thriller, Operation Mincemeat, they have probably the most decorated cast in recent history.
The cast includes The Academy Award Winner Colin Firth, fresh from the win of his BAFTA Matthew Macfadyen, and the Trainspotting star Kelly Macdonald. If this wasn’t enough, the film has the legendary Jason Isaacs in it.
So it is no surprise that the film has a lot of talented actors that have certainly portrayed a variety of roles. But there are two who have portrayed the same role, and the fans are completely over the moon.
Operation Mincemeat marks the first time Colin Firth worked with Matthew Macfadyen. And if you are anywhere remotely a fan of Jane Austen or the movie adaptations of her books, you will know that both Matthew and Colin have portrayed Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy in two separate films.

Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy is the main male protagonist of the highly influential Pride and Prejudice books and their subsequent films. Matthew played the role of Darcy in the 2005 reimagination of the book. While Colin Firth played the same character in the 1995 Britsh Tv series about the show.

If this wasn’t enough to make the fans happy, Operation Mincemeat also casts Johnny Flynn as Ian Fleming. Johnny is also a Jane Austin adaptation alumni who played the role of George Knightley in the hit 2020 film Emma. Starring beside Johnny in the film was The Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor Joy in the titular role of Emma.
