One Piece Reveals First Look of One-Shot Manga Illustrated by Dr. Stone’s Artist Boichi

It has been a big year for One Piece fans. The immensely popular and one of the longest-running mangas ever just celebrated its 25th anniversary. Moreover, the live-action adaptation of the manga by Netflix also had some massive updates in the past few weeks. And to add to these huge happening, One Piece is getting a new one-shot manga.

The Artist for the new one-shot manga is the Artist of the famous Dr. Stone series!

The first look at the unique new one-shot manga by Dr. Stone illustrator Boichi has been unveiled by One Piece!

Fans have seen special initiatives for Eiichiro Oda‘s original manga series come up in the last several years as the franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary.

One of the most intriguing has seen several well-known manga writers attempt to recreate some of One Piece’s most memorable events.

Naoshi Komi, the creator of Nisekoi, Yuto Tsukuda, and Shun Saeki, the creators of Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma. And Boichi, the Artist behind Dr. Stone, have all previously contributed to the project.

The official One Piece Twitter account provided the first glimpse at this new one-shot, which you can see below:

This is not the first one-shot by Boichi

This is really exciting news for fans as they will see a reimagined vision of a really iconic moment from the manga. However, this is not the first time Boichi has taken up the job to illustrate a one-shot from the manga series.

Boichi shared his version of Chapter 51 of the series, “Zoro Overboard,” in the preceding one-shot in the “Comic Cover Project.” This was the legendary battle between Zoro and Hawkeye during the events of the Baratie arc, and it was a fan favorite.

Now, Boichi has revealed their fresh take on one of the series’ most famous arcs. It’ll be a complete transformation if it’s anything like the prior attempt.

All that’s left now is to hope for an official foreign publication of this new issue, which will be released in Japan next month.

It is an amazing time to be a One Piece fan with many projects like a live-action adaptation by Netflix. A new video game and a film hitting theaters soon.
