After Elon Musk, Kanye West Set to Buy a Social Media Platform for His Freedom of Speech
If Kanye West cannot practice his freedom of speech, he will buy it. The hip-hop artist, who is known for stirring up more controversies than music, seems keen on finding new ways to continue his online presence. Looks like Ye is taking inspiration from friend Elon Musk after he hit the headlines for wanting to buy Twitter. Though the latter backed out later, both had one common goal: to avoid intense censorship.
This is especially important for the rapper, who has been on a roll on his social media platforms, mostly to criticize his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, other celebrities, and post-anti-Semitic comments. After getting blocked on major social media platforms, Kanye seems to be eyeing another platform.

Kanye West ponders over purchasing a social media platform after controversies
If you are a Kanye West fan, you might soon be logging on to a new platform. The Flashing Lights singer has agreed to purchase Parler, an alternate platform that promotes free speech with no gatekeeper for censorship. The site is currently owned by Parlement Technologies, whose motive was to make the “world’s premier free speech technology infrastructure and platform.” The company is looking to support several platforms that are not supported in the mainstream social media space.

The company’s deal for Parler with Kanye will remain separate. According to the rapper, “In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial, we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves.” One dilemma arises if this deal goes through successfully, though.
If West purchases Parler and Elon goes ahead with buying Twitter, the friends will become professional foes since both are aiming to loosen up on the rules of these sites. Turning it into a competitive triangle is their ally Donald Trump’s website Truth Social, which runs on similar lines. Will the three friends find themselves to be competitors? Time will tell.

Parler is owned by George Farmer, who is married to right-wing political activist Candace Owens. Candace recently made news when she and Kanye wore the White Lives Matter T-shirt. It will be interesting to see how the deal pans out and how the artist will handle the site in his control. Would you join Parler if the Heartless singer buys it? Let us know in the comments.
