Ever since Netflix announced the anime adaption of the manga series Bastard!! fans have been extremely excited. Bastard!! is based on the manga of the same name created by Kazushi Hagiwara. It first made its debut in 1988 with the last chapter being released in 2010. Ever since, it has inspired many hit dark action anime adaptions like Berserk and Bleach. Moreover, the last few chapters have also provoked many anime adaptations. And per the trailer of Bastard!!, it will be no less.

What is Bastard!! all about?

Filled with a plethora of Greek myths, this anime is in the solid mood to give you Ovid’s metamorphosis vibes. Set in a world where Anthrasax, the God of Destruction has wreaked havoc, you will be joining a group of skilled fighters to save the world from deadly demons and ancient gods.

According to the streaming service, the Kingdom of Metallicana is under attack from these gritty monsters. Following the same, the high priest asks their daughter, Yoko, to transform 14-year-old Luche Renren into the powerful wizard. Yes, the dark lord or Dark Schneider is summoned to protect the world from the havoc gods. But the white-haired hero himself not being in control, will he be able to save the world from destruction? Well, we will need to wait for the sorcery anime to answer our questions.

Having Dungeons and Dragons-like world, the anime series got the direction of Takaharu Ozaki and the composition of Yosuke Kuroda. The character design is done by Sayaka Ono, and the music by Yasuharu Takanashi.

Apart from these, we must share something about its awesome voice cast. The white-haired hero, Dark Schneider is voiced by Kisho Taniyama. You may recognize him as Chhuya Nakahara in Bungo Stray Dogs. Further, the other voice cast members include:
