The Adam Project trailer breakdown

The trailer opens up with a fight scene at a school, where we meet Walker Scobell’s Adam. Adam is a troubled kid, who always gets into fights at school and even though he hopes to get better at it, he is nowhere near any improvement. Adam misses his long-estranged father (played by Mark Ruffalo) and is clearly not doing well.

Later in the trailer, we see Adam’s future self (played by Ryan Reynolds) arrive in the present in a hi-tech-looking ship, but he still manages to crash it terribly. Now, the two Adams must team up together in order to accomplish two tasks. First, they need to find their father, whose watch they both are wearing. Second, they must find a way to save the world. As we see some Terminator-like device that may endanger lives in the present.

We see them fighting a troop of armed robots, which will probably remind you of the famous stormtroopers from Star Wars. This film might just appear to be your regular sci-fi movie, but you can definitely expect some depth and emotion from it. Especially because it comes from the director and creator of Ryan Reynolds’s Free Guy, Shawn Levy.
