From ShondaLand’s creation, the first trailer of Bridgerton season 2 is here. Inspired by Julia Quinn novels, season 2 will follow the life of Daphne’s elder brother, Lord Anthony Bridgerton, and his journey to find a suitable wife.

Netflix has gifted us with a trailer, and trust us, it didn’t disappoint the fans of Bridgerton.

The trailer begins with Lady Whistledown, where she asks, “Dearest gentle reader. Did you miss me?” Witnessing from the first season, we can expect Lady Whistledown will take her scandalous paper to another level.

Bridgerton season 2 premise

To uphold the family name and fulfill his duty, Anthony is all set to search for his wife. In the search for a wife, Anthony met Kate played by Simone Ashley, and her younger sister Edwina played by Charithra Chandran Sharma, who had just arrived from India. After knowing Anthony’s true intentions, Kate tries to stop the union between Anthony and her sister, Edwina.

Eventually, Kate and Anthony’s heated argument will bring them closer and will turn into a steamy romantic relationship. All while Penelope aka Lady Whistledown continues to hide her identity while spilling the secrets of society through her column. Needless to say, we can expect a lot of tea.

When is the new season coming?

Netflix renewed season 2 on January 21, 2021, after the enormous success of Season 1. At present, it is still the second most-watched show after Squid Game. The production and filming started in March 2021 and later, in Tudum Global Event, Netflix released the first look of the show.

Recently, Netflix has proclaimed that the Bridgerton season 2 will launch on the streamer on March 25th, 2022.
