Netflix shared the official teaser trailer of Q-FORCE, which is an anime about a gay spy force with a handsome secret agent.

Netflix is taking representation to another level with its new anime Q-FORCE, while it’s up to you to choose if this level is good. In this new work featuring the voices of many familiar names such as David Harbour, we’ll see the adventures of the first queer spy division. It has quite an unorthodox premise if you ask me.

When we look at the fans’ reactions to this work, things do not seem very bright for Netflix. Many viewers complain of the stereotypes used in a work that’s supposed to represent the LGBT+ community.

While IMDb marks Q-FORCE as an action-adventure work, we mostly see elements of comedy in the teaser that Netflix shared. When we look at the producers of the series, it seems comedy will be dominant. Well, it seems we’re going to have a taste of all those when they release it.

Here’s the Netflix synopsis for its new animated series:

“A handsome secret agent and his team of LGBTQ superspies embark on extraordinary adventures.”

Sean Hayes, Gabe Liedman, David Miner, and Michael Schur are the executive producers of this anime. Those names have experience working on successful sitcoms such as The Office, The Good Place, and Parks and Recreation. Here are some of the voice actors.

  • Gary Cole
  • David Harbour
  • Patti Harrison
  • Sean Hayes
  • Laurie Metcalf
  • Matt Rogers
  • Wanda Sykes

Even though the actors and the production crew are pretty famous with their works up until now, Q-FORCE is not likely to be as popular among the fans given the current expectations.

Netflix hasn’t shared the official trailer of Q-FORCE yet. We only have the teaser right now. However, they usually release the trailers around 2-3 weeks before the release, so you can keep an eye on mid-August.

If you’re here to see what David Harbour is up to, you might as well check out his latest interview, in which he teased some of the surprises that await us in Stranger Things season 4. His remarks lined up with what Maya Hawke and Gaten Matarazzo had to say about the new season earlier. According to the actors of Stranger Things, the new season will be amazing in terms of script-writing and details. However, we’re not going to see it released on Netflix soon. They’re planning to wrap up the filming process this August, which will mark the start of the post-production. We already know they’re planning to release the season in 2022, thanks to Finn Wolfhard. In addition to that, a wrap in August supports the idea of a 2022 release.

Netflix is going to release Q-FORCE on September 2nd, 2021.

You can check out the teaser below, which hasn’t been pretty much welcomed by the fans up until now. The video has around 2.2K likes contrary to its 2.5K dislikes right now. The disappointment is apparent when we check out the comments as well.
