The movie is about American and Chinese agencies working together to capture a cybercriminal who seems unmotivated by politics or finance as he seeks to cripple the international banking network. With the help of furloughed convict Nicholas Hathaway (Hemsworth), the authorities pursue the mysterious figure through Chicago, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Jakarta.
The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
Does the audience like it?
The initial reaction of the film when it was first released in 2015 was very poor. It was a box office bomb, with the film collecting just $19.7 million out of its $70 million budget.

Blackhat is a perfect choice for a late afternoon watch. The movie has some great action sequences(thanks to Michael Mann), and the film maintains the thrill till the very satisfying climax.
