When it comes to insults no one can do it better than Ryan Reynolds. But when he’s pitted against Josh Brolin, the latter delivers some serious burns! The two stars had guested on the BBC’s Playground Insults to promote their film Deadpool 2. While Reynolds played the titular character, Deadpool, Brolin played Cable in the flick. The host ushered the guests and the viewers in with a message that this was all just a fun game of insults, but poor Ryan joked that he was hurt by the end! 

Josh Brolin couldn’t understand why Ryan Reynolds was still in the industry after delivering Green Lantern

The Deadpool star had started with a very meek insult. He called Brolin a “muffin smuggling pirate puncher.” But boy, Brolin came in strong. He immediately whipped out a joke about the biggest dud of Reynolds’ career, Green Lantern, and the actor’s lack of talent! 

“Okay, let’s talk about the obvious thing. Green Lantern end of career and yet you are still going, why? None of us can understand,” he said to Ryan. Green Lantern was a massive disaster with both the critics and the fans banning the film on a mass level.

“You’re tall, you’re handsome, you have a perfect amount of scruff, and yet you still have no talent,” Brolin added. 

But Ryan Reynolds didn’t back down. He nonchalantly stated that he was the 1998 MTV Best Kiss Award Nominee and he never watched his movie Green Lantern either! That left Brolin and the hosts in splits.

Brolin’s insults had fired up the Canadian, who brought his best savage self. He fired back that Brolin was so bad in Goonies that people punched themselves in the di*k five times straight after watching the flick. After that, there was no stopping the actor. He whipped out insults like, “You are so old that you make dust look like a baby,” “Josh you dress like an old josh hamilton,” “What’s your favorite color? mediocre?” and the classic, “You smell so bad I can hear it.” It took a while for Brolin and us to process all that!
