The Netflix movie, starring Christian Bale, will follow the same plot as Louis Bayard’s successful novel. Set in 1830, the film will revolve around the mysterious death of a young cadet at West Point Academy. The death is perceived as a suicide but the story takes an interesting take when someone steals the heart from the dead body.
To find the answers and avoid any kind of negative publicity, the academy urges the former police detective Augustus Landor to come out of his retirement. Landor is more than happy to do the task, but his partner Edgar Allan Poe left him unimpressed. The movie promises a lot of thrills and drama and Landor and Poe will set on a journey of finding the answers.
