Will Smith is one of Hollywood’s most loved stars. The Men In Black actor has delivered some of the finest films to the audience. Irrespective of the genre, Smith has done commendable work over the years. Back in the 90s and early 2000s, the actor was on a roll with his films. And almost two decades later, Smith is returning with sequels to some of his most popular films, including I Am Legend.

I Am Legend returns to the small screens after almost a year

A while ago, Netflix announced its slate of releases for October this year, and the list seems to be incredible. Among the many projects that will be made available to the audience on Netflix, one is I Am Legend. Interestingly, the 2007 sic-fi thriller movie will return to the small screens on 23rd October worldwide. The timing could not have been better, as Halloween is just around the corner. The film’s return comes nearly a year after the streamer removed some of the biggest titles from its catalog.

While the first installment will return to the small screens, the sequel, I Am Legend 2, is not far away. The sci-fi thriller has been a topic of much discussion among film buffs recently. Multiple theories and speculations about the series have already surfaced online. Moreover, a handful of big names from Hollywood, including Michael B. Jordan, have joined the cast for the upcoming film.

A possibility suggests how the Creed star might be going head-to-head against Smith’s Robert Neville in the sequel.

Since I Am Legend 2 will follow the alternate ending of the original film, the possibilities are endless. As the alternate ending shows how Neville is the last creature left on the planet, it gives rise to a chance of battle between the dark seekers and the scientist. At the same time, Michael B. Jordan’s role in the movie is unclear. So, there surely exists a possibility of the Creed II star playing a dark seeker in I Am Legend 2. If that stands true, the audience might witness an iconic duel between Jordan and Smith.

It is, however, all up in the air for now. There is no confirmation about what bits the sequel will pick from the alternate ending. The expected release date for the movie is 2025. Meanwhile, the sequel has a lot of questions to answer from the fans as the first installment left the fans wondering about Neville’s fate.
