The 54-year-old star has starred in the upcoming historical action film Emancipation, set to release on December 2. Will Smith addresses his fans upon the arrival of the Emancipation
After the notorious event at Oscars 2022, it was the first time Will Smith made an appearance on a show. The Suicide Squad star recently sat down with Fox 5’s Kevin McCarthy to talk about his upcoming new movie. During the conversation, the host brought up the dilemma people are facing because of what happened in the past few months.
In his answer, the actor responded that he totally understands what people might be feeling right now. He would respect the decision of viewers even if they do not want to watch him on the silver screen. However, he cannot ignore all the hard work and time people have invested in creating this film.

“The people on this team have done some of the best work of their entire careers, and my deepest hope is that my actions don’t penalize my team,” explained the Bad Boys star.

Thus, the Jersey Girl star only hopes that viewers would give him the second chance and support this movie. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, this historical drama is set during the civil war and narrates the story of a slave named Peter. The cast member who joined Smith in the film includes Ben Foster, Charmaine Bingwa, Steven Ogg, Mustafa Shakir, and Timothy Hutton, among others.
