Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex has been painted as a villain both by the UK media and the Palace insiders. The royal experts have called out the former American actress for brainwashing the prince and turning him against his own family.

A few days back, the sources also suggested how Kate Middleton is miffed with the Suits alum for causing a wedge in the family. However, the royal author, Omid Scobie, does not echo the same sentiments. He carried out a detailed analysis of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s feud with the royal household and their departure from the United Kingdom. Is it right to hold Markle responsible for the infamous royal scandal?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s docuseries cleared the air around their exit from the monarchy 

Omid Scobie slammed the narrative of Meghan Markle being a witch and controlling Prince Harry’s life. The royal author is completely against the idea of blaming the Duchess for causing a rift between her husband and his father, King Charles, and brother Prince William. He denied the claims of the Suits alum playing a major role in Duke’s decisions regarding his relationship with his subjects back in the United Kingdom. 

“It’s bizarre. I think that the image that is often portrayed is that Meghan is a sort of witch-like character that has cast a spell over Harry and he is unable to make a decision for himself,” Scobie said while speaking on the Common Sense YouTube channel.

Further, the journalist explained how the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan clearly depicted that the Duke is in the driving seat in their relationship. The six-episode show saw Prince Harry taking complete responsibility for their exit from the family. He revealed that he decided to settle in the United States with Meghan Markle and their son Archie to protect them from the media and plots of the other family members.

Scobie believes that the docuseries addressed the issue well, but the royal experts and the media have chosen to ignore the truth as it will not suit their narrative of painting the former actress in a negative light.
