Following the announcement of the Netflix docuseries and memoir, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been brutally slammed for using the royal family to mint money. A lot of royal experts have called out the Sussexes for settling in the United Kingdom for privacy but signing multimillion-dollar deals for tell-all shows and books. Three years back, reports suggested that the Duke and Duchess have stepped down to live an independent life away from media scrutiny.
This has been a constant matter of scrutiny for the royal couple. Amidst all the hate, Prince Harry finally cleared the air. In a conversation with Anderson Cooper, he revealed the real season behind explaining their side of the story in public. Notably, ahead of the release of Spare, the Duke gave his first US television interview on the show 60 Minutes.
Prince Harry blames the Palace for briefing the media
During the controversial interview, the host asked Prince Harry the reason behind expressing his grievance with the royal family publicly. Answering the high-voltage question, the Sussex royal blamed the institution. He revealed that he could never have private conversations with the senior members regarding controversial matters. All his plans and talks got leaked in the media, showing him and his wife Meghan Markle in a negative light.

“Every single time I tried to do it privately, there have been briefings and leaking and planting of stories against me and my wife. You know the family motto is ‘Never complain, never explain.’ It’s just a motto,” the royal prince told Anderson Cooper.
Further, the Duke took a dig at the Palace for leaking the stories as sources. Revealing the entire process, Prince Harry mentioned that the House of Windsor always issued clarifications and put blame by projecting stories on the media as inside sources. Notably, in Harry & Meghan as well, he accused his elder brother Prince William of creating a negative PR against Meghan Markle. Meanwhile, it might surprise you that the younger prince wants to reconcile with his father, King Charles, and his brother. In another interview with ITV, the 38-year-old claimed that he wants his family back but not an institution.
