When ‘Don’t Worry Darling’s’ Harry Styles And His boys ‘One Direction’ Rapped Will Smith’s Namesake Song To Perfection
The prelude to a drama is something that best defines the show. Since the seventeenth century, Elizabethan dramatists have incorporated this in their plays and saw a huge engagement. Fast forwarding to the modern era, the choir somehow transformed into jazz, rock, and rap. One such popular prelude or theme song as we know it now is that of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air starring Will Smith.
This American television sitcom debuted on NBC on September 10, 1990, and ran there until May 20, 1996. Will Smith plays a fictionalized version of himself in the show, a street-smart lad from West Philadelphia. His lifestyle and that of his relatives in Bel Air frequently conflict in the series. The theme song sets the show’s premise as Smith raps, “…And I’d like to take a minute. Just sit right there. I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air…”
