The King Richard actor had to face many consequences after the incident. He got banned from the Academy Awards for 10 years. He lost some friends, along with many upcoming projects.

Netflix has recently decided to continue its contract with Smith. However, the Aladdin actor is about to lose one of his iconic roles in a Disney movie. A Red Notice star might replace him in an upcoming project for Disney.

Is Will Smith really going to be replaced by the Red Notice star?

The King Richard star has portrayed an iconic character of Genie in Aladdin. Initially, he was afraid of touching the role because the Dead Poets Society star, Robin Williams, originally played it. However, the viewers loved Smith as Genie. But now, because of the Oscar incident, he has lost many of his projects, including the possibility of losing his role in Aladdin 2.

It is reportedly said that his role of Genie might be transferred to the Red Notice star, Dwayne Johnson. It is rumored that Aladdin 2 may land on the big screen in 2025 with Guy Ritchie as the director. If this rumor is true, it would be a big shock for Smith and fans who loved him as Genie.
