Those who are in awe of Will Smith and his acting abilities are finding themselves in an excruciating conundrum. Supporting Smith and casting him in projects would automatically mean they have to forgive him for his indecent behavior at the Oscars in 2022. After the shocking incident, Smith went away from the limelight for a long period of time and only came back to promote his project Emancipation which was deemed award-winning by the audience who went to watch it. But again, many chose not to watch the movie and banned the actor, just like the Oscars have.

However, anyone who came out after watching the theatres was all praises of Will Smith’s performance. And considering how the mass audience does have a taste of the actor’s wonderful performances, those who did not watch were also tempted. Giving rise again to the question is Will Smith movies should be watched. And while many such as Tom Cruise, are still justifiably unsure, some well-known producers and directors have opened their doors to Will Smith.

Will Smith to work in Aladdin 2?

After the Oscar slap, a lot of things surrounding Will Smith and his career were unclear. Whether would he be invited to the Oscars ever again? Whether he would quit working altogether? Is he going to be a part of any big movie franchise ever again? and many more along these lines. However, there was one thing that fans looked evidently sure about. And that was: Disney is never taking Will Smith back.

The studio screams royalty like no other. Furthermore, considering how peculiar it is about the actors it involves itself with, Smith, after the Oscar smack, is not Dinsey’s type, to say the least. However, Guy Ritchie, the director of the 2019 hit Aladdin surprised all with his latest interview.

The director attended the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia and said that he had no qualms about working with Will Smith again. I’ve never met a more lovely man, and working with him was one of the most wonderful, great experiences I’ve ever had. I never saw anything other than the consummate, generous gentleman,” Ritchie said, according to THR.

Although the director gives a princely description of the actor, he is referring to the role of Genie in Aladdin 2, which is currently in pre-production. Maybe not Tom Cruise, but a Disney movie is what the actor needs to bring light back to his career.
