Before her wedding to Prince Harry and becoming the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle was known for being an American film star. She is best recognized for portraying the role of Rachel Zane in the hit drama, Suits. The royals do not do films or television. Thus, Meghan also left her film career before taking the plunge with Prince Harry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

However, the Suits alum, along with her husband and children, left London to set up a life in California. Harry and Meghan are no longer working royals and they have also been stripped of their His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness titles. As the Sussexes are no longer bound to the royal protocols, people are hoping to see the Duchess back on the silver screen. But will she come back?

Meghan Markle reflects on her acting profession

There have been a lot of speculations regarding the future of Meghan Markle as an actor. The 41-year-old finally put all the rumors to rest in the fifth episode of her episode. The most recent episode of the Archetypes named The Decoding of Crazy with Deepika Padukone, Jenny Slate and Constance Wu saw Meghan candidly speaking about her film career. 

She hailed her profession as a “past life.” This clearly means that there is no chance of fans seeing the actor Meghan on the screen. However, people can definitely see the producer Meghan Markle. She and Harry have signed a deal with Netflix to produce various forms of content. Their first product, docuseries, is expected to release later this year. 

Meanwhile, it was the royal columnist Perez Hilton who had first suggested the comeback of the former actress on the silver screen. In one of her interviews, she revealed that leaving the royal family has given Meghan liberty. Thus, the Duchess will be hoping to kick start her career once again. 

“I definitely see her going back into acting. Absolutely. But, it will be: This is my passion project — things that she’s also a producer on that she really wants to get out there into the world,” Perez had said as quoted by The News.
