The past few months at the DC studios have been a complete mess. With James Gunn and Peter Safran taking over the reins, the franchise has been shaken to the roots. In their attempt to restructure the franchise, many projects have been canceled and big names have left the franchise. Amongst the biggest shockers for the fandom, one was the studio axing out Henry Cavill as Superman. And now after Cavill, the future of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman faces uncertainty.

As we all know, not long ago, the studio waived off the much anticipated Wonder Woman 3 featuring Gal Gadot. And since then, the future of the actress in James Gunn’s new DC has been a topic of much speculation and uncertainty. As Gunn moves forward with his plans to rebuild the franchise, will Gadot be a part of DC’s future? Or will she bid farewell?

What does the future hold for Gal Gadot?

Recently, DC Japan released a new teaser for the upcoming DC project Shazam! Fury of the Gods. And soon after, the fans went frenzy after spotting what supposedly was Gadot’s Diana Prince. Reportedly, the actress will feature in a cameo scene in this upcoming sequel of Shazam that will soon make its way to our screens. However, there is no confirmation about the actress’s part in the movie. Even though the trailer teased Gadot’s appearance in the film, there are chances that the clip is an old recording.

Since there are no exact details about Gadot’s Wonder Woman, fans are still unsure about what role the actress will have in the film. Furthermore, to add to the uncertainty, there is no confirmation from either the studio or the actress. On the other hand, it might also be possible that Gadot will reprise her role in the upcoming DC projects.

Not long ago, James Gunn shed some light on Gadot’s future in the franchise as well. Furthermore, the fans would be devastated if the studio axed out Gadot as well. Meanwhile, recent Shazam! Fury of the Gods trailer has given fans a ray of hope that the actress will reprise her role as Diana Prince in the upcoming movie. For now, the fans will have to wait for all their answers till the upcoming Shazam film premieres worldwide on 17th March 2023.
